What is the R4T Biosecurity add-on?

Unlike the other add-ons, the R4T Biosecurity Add-on is an evaluation and not a certificate. This means that producers certified under IFA (for bananas only) will be able to request their CBs to carry out the Biosecurity R4T assessment together with the annual IFA audit and will subsequently receive proof of the assessment. The result of the evaluation will be visible in the GLOBALG.AP Database.
The objective of GlobalG.AP is to ensure the implementation of good agricultural practices throughout the world, in this context the R4T add-on module seeks to be a tool to prevent the spread of the pathogen within farms certified under GLOBALG.AP, the add-on on aims to address the issue of biosecurity and provide greater support to the entire banana sector
