To support implementation efforts at the producer level, GLOBALG.AP offers an add-on to the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for fruits and vegetables, to address the requirements of the Produce Safety Rule ( PSR) of the FSMA (FSMA PSR).
The FSMA PSR add-on covers:

Fully covers the FSMA PSR requirements for US and international growers growing fruits and vegetables for the US market.

Guarantees efficiency for producers who combine the FSMA PSR add-on assessment with their annual IFA audit.

Provides reliable verification of a producer's efforts to implement FSMA PSR, in the form of a certificate of conformity and assessment report issued by GLOBALG.AP-approved certification bodies

Prepares exporters so that products entering the US market are “FSMA ready”

Enables transparent online validation of a producer's compliance status in real time, through GLOBALG.AP IT systems

The FSMA PSR add-on's Certificate of Conformity does not ensure or constitute a guarantee of FSMA compliance, as only a US regulatory authority, such as the FDA, can determine legal compliance.
